RIM Blackberry Mobile And How To Solve USB Driver Problem

Recently, a friend was having a problem connecting his blackberry to the desktop manager installed on his computer, so he brought his laptop and blackberry to me. On checking his laptop, I noticed that his blackberry drivers were missing from his pc, so I reinstalled the drivers and after that his desktop manager read ''connected''.

So what do you do when you experience a similar problem? Firstly, connect your blacberry to your computer, via a usb cord. Open your blackberry desktop manager and check to see if your blackberry device is recognized . If your blackberry device is recognized, then congratulations, but if it isn't, do the following.

Open your device manager and check to see if the RIM blackberry smartphone driver and the RIM mass storage driver is present. If they are missing or not properly installed, go over to https://swdownloads.blackberry.com/downloads and download the ''usb and modem drivers'' in English or any other language of your choice. Now, install the downloaded drivers and restart your computer. After restarting your computer, reconnect your blackberry and start your blackberry desktop manager. Your blackberry desktop manager should display ''connected''.

Hope that solves it. if you require further help, just check the contact us page and I'll be happy to help.
