Mobile or Web Version of Your Blog......Which Do You Prefer

With constant advancements in mobile technology, blogging can now be said to be "On the Go". Whether we are on a queue at the grocery store or waiting to see our family doctor, we can still read our favorite blogs. I know in our families, the use of iphones, iPads, androids are always in use.

Today, we're going to look at how to change the appearance of our blogs to our mobile users and I am going to show you how. Blogger now has two versions for every blog, one is the mobile version and the other is the web version. But you can make the default on both platforms to be the web version.

Here are the steps to do that...

Go to your dashboard and click TEMPLATE

You will see the MOBILE option.

Click the gear (circled in red) under that.

 You select...

YES. Show mobile template on mobile devices.

if you want mobile version to show on mobile devices

OR...

NO. Show desktop template on mobile devices.

 

if you want the web version to show on mobile devices.

Then click SAVE.

Note that after you change this setting, the reader will only be able to view the web version of your blog, where as, if this option is enabled, the reader will have to scroll down to the bottom of the page to click 'view web version'.

 In other words, if you have web version, you just have web version.

But if you have the mobile version, the reader has the choice of choosing between the mobile and web, but they have to click 'view web version'. You're just selecting what they see first.
