Google just recently released the
much anticipated android KitKat 4.4 OS. With this new release, Google seems to
have left lots of controversies as to whether the KitKat 4.4 is a good or a not
so good OS update.
All in all, I’d say it still has a long way to go in feeling the aching tummy of its tech savvy users.

“OK Google” Voice Command
Now you could easily navigate
through your android device without pushing a button by simply giving a
command. To do this, go to your home
screen or Google Now and say ‘’OK Google’’ followed by your command.
Full Screen Album and Movie Art
While listening to music on your
android 4.4 smartphone, or streaming movies, you’ll see a full display album and
movie art on your screen and you’ll also have the option of pause, play, or
skip to view a scene ahead.
Immerse Mode
Now there are no more distractions
when you are on your android phone. With the new immerse display feature, you
can play a video, read a document, play a game or do whatever you feel like
without the status and navigation bar getting in your way. They automatically go in hiding and return
when you swipe the tip of your screen with your finger.
Run Multiple Tasks with Ease
With the new kitkat 4.4’s
improved performance, you can easily run multiple tasks like playing a game,
browsing the internet, and do lots more all at the same time without a hitch.
Caller ID Search
This feature now enables your
android phone to do a quick search of local listings on Google maps of any call
you receive from a caller ID outside of your phone book.
Contacts That Mean the Most to
You
The kitkat phone app also come
along with an improved feature that gives priority to the people you call the
most and gives you the ability to search for businesses or places nearby and
more.
View All Your Messages with the
Hangouts App
The new android 4.4 comes
preloaded with the Google hangouts app to hold all your SMS, MMS, Video calls
and your hangouts chat messages all in one place. The hangouts apps also enable
you to share your location with friends and even send animated GIFs to them.

Android Kitkat 4.4 comes with
emoticon support, to add more emotion to your messages.
Print On the Move
You can now print your documents
while on the move with Google cloud print and any printer whose app is on the Google
play store.

There is now the ability to
exchange messages between your android phone and Bluetooth enabled cars, all
thanks to the message access profile feature.
Chrome cast Support
Have fun watching your favorite
movies from Hulu Plus, Netflix, YouTube and Google Play on HDTV using your
android phone and a chrome cast.
Battery Conservation Mode
With Kitkat, you can now conserve
your battery life right from your settings. Simply go into your settings, go to
location and then choose whether to use high accuracy or battery saving
location modes. You can also view apps that have requested for your location under
settings>location.
